The Experience

When you come to the adorable downtown of Grand Junction, Colorado to make a candle with us, you are greeted with flower beds blooming with seasonal blooms in the warmer months and a spectacular light show in the trees in the colder months. You will find Candle Kitchen right off of 5th and Main around the corner from the charming local deli and candy store, Hog and Hen, sharing a wall with the Colorado Mesa University Gift Shop, and across 5th Street from the gorgeous American grown flower shop Garvey Gardens! When you walk into our doors the candle’s scents drift into your nose, just begging you to pick them up and get a closer smell.

When you are making a candle at Candle Kitchen, you are the “chef!” You smell our ingredients from the shelves and make notes of the scents that really speak to you. There are a large variety of containers in many different colors and styles to choose from, along with Room Sprays, Reed Diffusers, Wax Tarts and Lotions!

You then bring your selection over to the bar and our Chandlers will help you finalize your selections to a combination of 2-4 scents that compliment each other! You then have full control of how the candle smells. You play with your ratios and channel your inner witch or scientist to make the perfect blend! 

We then bring you your container filled with fresh hot wax from our tap for you to stir your blend into! Finish it off with a custom label of your own creation!

When you come back to pick up your creation after the set up time of 2-4 hours, you will get to take your candle home to enjoy the fruits of your labor!
